Inspiration from the mother nature
Inspired by the tender green leaves that mark the beginning of new life, Pallav reflects the calm freshness of nature in its purest form. Woven on traditional Indian handlooms using natural cotton in the warp (Taana) and premium 40 Lea linen in the weft (Baana), it carries forward generations of weaving wisdom preserved by skilled artisans.
The shirt features the ancient Chataai weave—a basket-inspired handloom structure celebrated for its natural texture, exceptional breathability, and lasting durability. The combination of cotton and linen creates a fabric that feels airy against the skin while developing a richer character with every wear. This heritage weave cannot be rushed or replicated by modern mass production, giving every shirt its own distinct, authentic identity.
The Luxury of Time
From preparing the natural yarns to the meticulous hand weaving and final tailoring, the journey of this fabric takes nearly 3–4 months. To preserve the rarity of this weave and its refreshing natural shade, only 30 shirts are crafted in every batch.
Finished with sustainable natural coconut shell buttons, for those who believe what touches the skin should be as natural as the world around them, Pallav is a timeless companion crafted to be worn, appreciated, and passed on.

Inspired by the timeless geometry of traditional woven mats, the Chataai weave is one of India's enduring handloom structures. Handwoven using natural cotton in the warp (Taana) and 40 Lea premium linen in the weft (Baana), it combines cotton's gentle comfort with linen's airy strength. The slow weaving process creates a naturally textured fabric that offers exceptional breathability, graceful drape, and lasting durability—qualities that modern machine-made fabrics cannot truly replicate.

Care for Your Second Skin
Treat your handloom shirt with the same patience and care with which it was crafted. Gentle care helps preserve its natural softness, texture, and character for years to come.

  • Use a mild liquid detergent or baby shampoo.
  • Do not soak the garment for long periods.
  • Do not bleach or use harsh chemicals.
  • Do not wring the fabric.
  • Dry naturally in shade, away from direct sunlight.
  • Warm iron on the reverse side.
  • Do not tumble dry

Every Guru Vastra fabric is pre-washed before stitching, allowing most of its natural settling to occur before it reaches you. As with all authentic handloom natural fibers, a gentle dimensional settling may still occur over the first few washes.
