Inspiration from mother nature
Inspired by the endless blue expanse of the morning sky, Neelambar reflects clarity, composure, and enduring strength. Woven on traditional Indian handlooms using 100% handspun natural cotton in both the warp (taana) and the weft (baana), it celebrates one of India's most labour-intensive textile traditions.
The shirt features the Bamboo Weave—a traditional handloom structure inspired by the graceful alignment of bamboo stems. Its naturally breathable construction complements the remarkable softness of handspun cotton, creating effortless comfort throughout the day. Because handspun yarn is exceptionally delicate, threads frequently break during weaving and must be patiently restored by hand, making every finished fabric a testament to extraordinary artisan skill.
The Luxury of Time
From spinning every cotton fibre by hand to patient weaving and careful tailoring, this shirt takes nearly 4–5 months to complete. To preserve the authenticity of genuine handspun cotton and the rarity of this weave, only 30 shirts are crafted in every batch.
